7 2.5 Basic functions Accepting a call The call can be accepted in several ways: Pick up the handset Press the loudspeaker key Accept the soft key. 8 2.5.5 Hands-free calling The phone has a hands-free function. This can be activated / deactivated during a phone call or when dialing with the corresponding key. When the function is activated, this button lights up green. Note: The handset of the telephone is deactivated during hands-free operation. The loudspeaker is located under the handset rest and the microphone is on the lower right edge. Muting The microphone can be muted by pressing the button. When the function is activated, this button lights up red. This function can be deactivated again by pressing the button again. Muting also works when the hands-free function is activated. 12 Individual speed dialing Extension-specific speed dialing can be configured using the Ind. Speed ​​dialing button on the right of the display. Operation is carried out using the softkey buttons and is self-explanatory. 3 PRIVATE CALL The outside line code for private calls is the code number 7. If the PIN is correct, the connection is established, otherwise you will hear a busy signal. 4 CALL GROUPS 4.1 General description The call group provides a basic function that has long been known from analog telephony. The pick-up and monitoring of telephones in the same group. These are called call groups. A call group is a logical combination of several telephone subscribers (call groups are set up by the administrator). After 12 seconds, an incoming call to a group member is signaled to all participants in the call group. The call group is signaled on its own line key. The signaling of a call on the call group is indicated acoustically by a short ring tone and by the yellow flashing line key. You only seize your own line by picking up the handset and you do not automatically take the call of the call group. This enables you to make calls yourself without having to accept the call from the call group. 4.2 Picking up Participants in a call group can pick up the call within the first 12 seconds by pressing the PickUp softkey. This only assumes that you can hear the call on the other telephone of your group partner (e.g. if the telephones are in the same room). 5 EXECUTIVE / SECRETARY FUNCTION 5.1 General description The executive / secretary function enables special performance features for a secretarial environment. In this way, the boss can activate call diversion to the secretary and the secretary can break through this. The secretariat monitors the executive line and both sides have a direct call key to each other. 5.2 Call diversion Call diversion with the executive is the same as call diversion with a normal extension. This is done by pressing the soft key. and the extension number of the secretary's office. The entry of the phone number can also be shortened by pressing the Sec call button. 14 5.3 Line keys The boss has two line keys. This enables the secretary to reach the executive by pressing the executive call button despite an active call. The two lines are also shown on the secretary's desk. This enables the secretariat to see whether the boss is speaking or not. The secretary can accept the call by pressing the line key. 5.4 Pick-up The executive / secretary phones also have a pick-up function (like the call groups). The boss can use this if he has a call diversion to the secretary's office and wants to take the call himself immediately. This is done simply by pressing the PickUp softkey. 6 SPRACHBOX 6.1 General description Each extension also has its own voicebox. It can be monitored and configured on your own extension. 6.2 Access to the voicebox at your own extension You can access the voicebox at your own extension by pressing the message key or by dialing extension 3610 on your telephone. This will automatically take you to the main menu of the voicebox. The further procedure for the voicebox can be found in the structure plan (point 6.5). 6.3 Access to the voicebox from another extension Before you can listen to your voicebox from other extensions, you must define a PIN (at least 4 digits).
