Cannabidiol - mode of action and indications
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is an active ingredient (cannabinoid) that is contained in hemp. There are a large number of different cannabinoids that are characterized by the fact that they can dock onto corresponding cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system. There are various endogenous cannnabinoids (called endocannabinoids) and cannabinoids that are contained in plants (called phytocannabinoids). CBD belongs to the second group and is not found in the body. However, hemp has been a plant that has found a wide variety of uses for centuries and is therefore strongly associated with humans.
CBD is one of the main active ingredients in hemp and is even present in industrial hemp. In contrast to THC, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, CBD is not intoxicating. On the contrary, the CBD even counteracts the intoxicating effects of THC. CBD also has a calming and relaxing effect that can also be used to treat related symptoms.
Many people would like to take advantage of the relaxing effects of cannabis without experiencing the high levels of intoxication associated with normal consumption.
For this reason, there are now many preparations that contain pure CBD and thus specifically use the positive effects of the active ingredient. And all without the psychoactive effects of THC.
There are a variety of products that contain CBD. These differ on the one hand in the solvent (water or oil-based) and on the other hand in the CBD content. This proportion ranges from small amounts in highly diluted solutions (1% CBD) to highly concentrated extracts in crystalline form (99% CBD).
At Hanfstark you will find a wide variety of CBD products to improve your well-being.

Areas of application:
In general, CBD has a calming and relaxing effect with no major side effects. Accordingly, it can be used for symptoms caused by irritation and tension in the body. The areas of application include:
- Nausea, vomiting
- Movement disorders (dystonia, dyskinesia)
- Mental illnesses (depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenic psychoses)
CBD can also be used as a support in cancer treatment. For example, to alleviate the side effects of aggressive treatments such as chemotherapy. Some scientific studies even point to a growth-inhibiting effect of CBD in cancer cells.
Because of its minimal side effects and calming effect, CBD is therefore suitable for use for a variety of ailments. Further areas of application can be found in the relevant specialist literature, which is also available from us.
Dosage / intake:
The dosage should take place in consultation with the attending physician in order to achieve an optimal result. The usual dosage range is between 40mg and 800mg per day. During treatment, particular attention should be paid to the reactions of your own body, as symptoms do not necessarily have to be the same every day. Due to the low side effects, the dosage can be adjusted accordingly to your own needs.
CBD exists in different forms. There are drops, capsules, oils, extracts and other types of the isolated active ingredient. It should be noted, however, that the highest effectiveness of CBD is achieved when it is warmed before ingestion. The heating decarboxylates the CBD bound in CBD acid (CBDA). This creates CBD in its phenolic form, which is where it is most effective.
For this reason, vaporizing the active ingredient proves to be a very suitable form of taking CBD.
CBD in the vaporizer
As mentioned earlier, heating CBD leads to increased effectiveness. For this reason, vaporizing has proven to be an optimal form of ingestion. Inhaling active substances is a common form of absorption of active substances and has a quick and direct transition into the bloodstream. Since, in contrast to combustion, active substances can be specifically dissolved during evaporation, this method proves to be highly effective and gentle at the same time.
But not every vaporizer is suitable for vaping CBD. Since the extracts become liquid when they evaporate, a suitable device is required. Many vaporizers have special inserts in the form of oil capsules or liquid pads. These are especially suitable for the use of oils and liquids and are available for a variety of devices. Some high-class devices, such as the sublimator, even have their own attachments for vaporizing oils and extracts. Pen vaporizers like the Puffco are very popular for mobile use. A CBD liquid can be vaporized in various strengths in an e-cigarette.
CBD in the vaporizer, the temperature is slightly higher than with THC, approx. 200 ° C + - 10 ° C.
In contrast to THC and cannabis flowers, CBD is freely available in Germany. While a doctor's prescription is required for products containing THC, CBD can be traded as a simple dietary supplement. This is understandable as CBD has no psychoactive effects or strong side effects.
