How and when do I get the newspaper delivered to my home?

Within Germany
Your Süddeutsche Zeitung will be delivered to your home early in the morning by courier. As a rule, deliveries are made as follows: in Munich and the surrounding area by around 6:30 a.m., in other areas by 7:00 a.m. If delivery by courier is not possible on site, we will deliver the newspaper to you by post on the day of publication (at no extra charge).
In many major European cities, delivery is carried out by messenger on the day of publication. In the other areas, delivery is made by post, depending on the country / region with a delay of one day, sometimes several days. Simply send specific inquiries by contacting the subscription service.

When does my subscription start? Can the start date be changed?

Your newspaper subscription will usually start as soon as possible, also on the date of your choice. Due to the logistics, lead times of our delivery partners must be observed, e. B. in Munich 2, otherwise 3 to 4 working days. The delivery start date and the type of delivery will be communicated with the order confirmation for your subscription.

How can I notify a move / change of my delivery address?

The most convenient way is to make a change in the SZ online service: After logging in, go to the link on the right below your customer number and click on the link “My data / relocation” and then you can make your changes under contact details using the “Pencil” button on the right are always possible in accordance with the delivery partner's lead times.

How can I submit a delivery complaint?

If your newspaper is not delivered as you wish, please inform us promptly, including the specific reason for the complaint. The easiest way to do this is via the SZ online service under “My subscriptions” / “Delivery complaints” or by calling our subscription hotline (contact details on the right). You can also choose from several compensation options, e.g. B. immediate access to the digital SZ, subsequent delivery by messenger (depending on the delivery partner, early notification required!), Etc. We are grateful if we take care of your complaint and you can also phone and / or e-mail to ensure the solution. Mail (add if necessary, e.g. in the SZ online service).

Do I get my Süddeutsche Zeitung on a public holiday in Bavaria?

The Süddeutsche Zeitung does not appear on national and Bavarian public holidays. If newspapers from national sales partners of the SZ do not appear on individual days, their messengers are i. d. Usually not in use and the subscribers of the Süddeutsche Zeitung then receive the respective issue by post.

How can I hand over the front door key for home delivery?

If you as a subscriber in the city or district of Munich would like to have your front door key (without function for apartment door!) Collected, please send our key service a short message (if necessary, please include the caretaker / property manager). We forward this reliably to our delivery partner, who will get in touch with you immediately.

How can I get a newspaper that has already appeared?

Current issues are available in printed form 14 days retrospectively from the service center of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Fürstenfelder Str. 7, 80331 Munich. Subsequent sending of individual issues is only possible in exceptional cases for subscribers to the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Electronic access to already published editions and articles in the Süddeutsche Zeitung is possible as follows:

1. With the newspaper app for tablet and smartphone you can load individual issues at any time.

2. Download the SZ edition in epub or mobi format to your e-reader.

3. With the SZ E-Paper (PC version) you can download individual issues in the original layout as a PDF file.

4. The SZ subscription archive gives you access to issues of the Süddeutsche Zeitung two years back. DIZ-München is happy to help with inquiries about research (subject to a charge).
