  1. For the perfectly fried beef steak, take the meat out of the refrigerator and let it warm to room temperature.
  2. If you have a larger piece of meat, you should cut 2-3 cm thick slices across the grain or have it cut by the butcher.
  3. Now you take the pieces of meat, wash them thoroughly under running water and then dry them with the help of kitchen paper (pat dry).
  4. Now you put the butter or oil in a pan, let it get hot and put the meat in the pan. It is important that the fat in the pan is really hot before adding the meat.
  5. Sear the steaks on each side for approx. 2 - 3 minutes, depending on the degree of cooking (see tip below). When turning the meat, however, do not pierce the meat with a fork, it is best to turn it with a spatula.
  6. Then season the fried beef steak with salt and pepper and serve.


Tips on the recipe

Guideline values ​​for cooking with a steak thickness of approx. 3 cm: 2 minutes = rare / 3-4 minutes = medium / 4-6 minutes = well done.

Ribeye or Beiried are also suitable meat for a juicy beef steak.

Before serving, add a little herb butter to the beef steak and serve with a salad.

Fried potatoes or baked potatoes with rosemary and bacon beans also go very well with beef steak.
