Is Lamborghini the fastest car ever

Lamborghini Aventador SVJ: The fastest production vehicle of all time

It is the new superlative series vehicle: the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds with 770 hp. The price for the super sports car, which is limited to 900 pieces, is over the 600,000 euro mark.

A lot of people get heart pounding: At the sight and the sound of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, which was presented during the Monterey Car Week 2018 in California.

The name SVJ already says it all to insiders. SV stands for Superveloce (super fast), the suffix "Jota" is the code name at Lamborghini for high performance and special suitability for the racetrack. The performance data speak for themselves: 770 hp (566 kW) at 8,500 revolutions per minute. With a torque of 720 Newton meters. The wild bull accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and from 0 to 200 km / h in 8.6 seconds. The top speed is over 350 km / h, the braking distance from 100 to 0 km / h is 30 meters.

King on the Nordschleife

On the Nürnburgring-Nordschleife, the super sports car leaves all other production vehicles behind with 6: 44.97 minutes over a length of 20.6 kilometers.

Compared to the "more civil" model SV, the SVJ has been optimized again - for example the all-wheel drive. Whereby it is about the finest detail work, millimeters and percentages. The stability has been improved by three percent of the torque that is sent to the rear axle. The braking distance, especially when braking and steering at the same time when cornering quickly, is significantly reduced. In order to be able to accelerate even better, the power steering has also been rebalanced. This now does better justice to the aerodynamics and the tires. With all-wheel drive, the torque is now distributed more optimally.

Pirelli develops its own tires

The new tires were specially developed by Pirelli according to Lamborghini's specifications and are intended to withstand the higher contact pressure.

Different driving modes also make it possible to keep the car in check in normal traffic. You can choose from the options Strada, Sport, Corsa and Ego, which should not be understood as an indication of the driver's personality traits, but rather enables additional personalization according to the driver's preferences.

As a service for the real sportsman, lap times, track performance and other vehicle data can be recorded.

The first customers will be able to receive their new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in early 2019 at an adventurous price that will again be well above the 600,000 euros for the SV model. The wealthy clientele should be indifferent to the fact that the PS monster then consumes around 30 liters of super per 100 kilometers in town. The model series is limited to 900 pieces. Often you won't see one of these super sports cars.
