It gets dark in the wizarding world, because Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), captured at the end of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", manages to escape and in the sequel he begins to gather a retinue for his dark purposes, who is not fully aware of what the Dark Wizard is planning: the rule of the pure-blood wizarding community over all beings that are not magical. Today we reveal the title of the latest Harry Potter spin-off: “Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald's Crimes”, in the original “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald”. In the photo above you can see the cast of David Yates sequel.

Many new additions to Fantastic Beasts 2: Famous Harry Potter wizards and Death Eater ancestors

Left to right: Jude Law plays Albus Dumbledore at a young age, who was once very close to Grindelwald. While Law has recently joined the cast of the five-part film series, we see Ezra Miller as Credence, a returnee - but how exactly his return will look like is not yet known, as he literally went up in smoke at the end of the first "Beasts" film on. Claudia Kim takes on the role of a Maledictus - she is the bearer of a blood curse that turns her into an animal creature. In the first part we saw Zoë Kravitz briefly in a photo as Leta Lestrange, in “Fantastic Beasts 2” she now fully slips into this role. Callum Turner is there as Newt's brother Theseus Scamander, mentioned in the previous chapter - Theseus heads the auror headquarters of the British Ministry of Magic and is also revered as a war hero by the wizarding society.

It continues with the well-known group of friends from the first part: Katherine Waterston plays Tina Goldstein, who is allowed to work as an auror again after her courageous commitment. Eddie Redmayne is Newt Scamander, the central character in the film series. Newt has now published his book “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” - Harry Potter and his friends will read this work decades later in class at Hogwarts. Dan Fogler plays the No-Maj (that's what Muggles are called in North America) Jacob Kowalski. Alison Sudol can be seen as Tina's sister, the thought-reading Legilimentor Queenie Goldstein. And of course there again as the criminal black magician Gellert Grindelwald: Superstar Johnny Depp.

Leta Lestrange is engaged

There is a special detail in the relationship, friendship and kinship that prevails among the main characters, which should play an important role, especially for protagonist Newt Scamander: In the first film we learned that Leta Lestrange and he were at school very close. Leta is now engaged to be engaged to Newt's brother Theseus, the shining hero and auror. The scientist Newt, who is a bit clumsy in social matters, has meanwhile hooked up with the American Tina Goldstein, but it remains to be seen what kind of explosive it will have in store if these four characters should meet.

The screenplay for “Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald's Crimes” was written by “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling - the fantasy adventure starts in the cinema on November 15, 2018.
